Hello Everyone!
I have been super busy. My schedule is pretty much eat,
sleep, study and then 9 hours of class each day! I can't believe that I have
already been here over a week! Time has really flown by! As you may have
noticed, my p days are on Friday so that is when I will be able to reply to
everyone! So don't worry if you haven't heard from me in a while, I haven't
forgotten about you! So for those of you who are worried that you can't write a
lot to me because I don't have a whole lot of time on the computer, I suggest
going to dear elder on the LDS website or even searching in google for that. It
is basically an online thing like email except they print out the email for me
and then give it to me like it’s a letter. This way I will be able to read it
and take some notes and then get back to you. ;)
This week has been a roller coaster. I don't even know where
to begin. I guess I will talk to a little about how class is going. It is
definitely getting better! We are understanding a lot more and although it is
frustrating at times I have come to learn that I need to put all of my trust in
the Lord and as long as I continue to study diligently, He will be able to help
me. So we teach our "investigator" every day and on our fourth time,
we had prepared this amazing lesson for him. We had it all outlined and knew
exactly what we wanted to say. When we started teaching about the Atonement, he
started asking us questions. Now this was totally off topic and we didn't plan
on any questions really but something great happened. I understood exactly what
he was asking and was able to answer all his questions so that he could
understand. I know for a fact that this was not me. I was able to recall where
the answers to his questions were in our little Mongolian book and be able to
teach him. This was such a neat experience and at the end we invited him to be
baptized which he said YES to! Now I know this is just role play and not a real
situation but it was definitely something that I needed to experience because
it helped strengthen me as well as my testimony. Heavenly Father does answer
our prayers and he is there for us always. We only need to be willing to
listen.
On a different subject, we got our sponsor papers the other
day! So exciting! I will be teaching at the Logarithm Secondary School which
will be kindergarten to 9th graders. I am so unbelievably excited and can’t
wait to meet all my kids! The best part though is that my teacher was actually
sponsored by the same people so I get to ask him questions about it. So far he
said that they are pretty wealthy and they treat you very well! They take you
on little field trips like into the country, feed you really well and may even
give you some of the cultural clothing that they wear. I will be teaching the
class by myself and then my companion basically will just sit there since they
won't be sponsored by the same people so that will be a cool experience but one
that I am slightly nervous about but I know that I will not be alone.
Something else he told us it what they eat... now this will
be interesting... they eat horse, lamb, camel, and wolf.... now I don’t know
about you but this is going to be one interesting experience but one that I
look forward to! He also said that we are able to ride the camels there so YEES
people, I will get to ride a camel :) haha.
Sister B is awesome and she has been a great example to me
and we have tons of fun together. We actually just got called to be the Sister
Training leaders for the zone so we will be helping the new sisters that
transfer in and showing them around and making sure everyone is doing alright
so that will be fun!
Well this is all that I have time for so I will make sure to
keep you all updated! I love you bunches!
hiretay! (Love) definitely not how you spell it in Mongolian
but that’s the best i can do, it’s at least how you pronounce it... sort of...
lol
